Cloud Princess is a mystical sky-themed slot game brimming with jewels and multipliers. Hacksaw Gaming created it, and it is their first attempt at making something comparable to Pragmatic’s Gates of Olympus, with a bonus featuring a building multiplier.
The gameplay is centred around brightly coloured gems, where you can unlock wins with the Scatter Pays when you land eight or more matching symbols. There are also three different multiplier values, with the Epic Smybol boosting wins by up to 100x.
This in-depth game guide will show you exactly how the Cloud Princess slot works and break down all the slot’s features and bonus modes. You can also play Cloud Princess with our free play demo.
Overview of Cloud PrincessSlot
The Cloud Princess slot is set up in the sky with a heavenly theme and an anime-style host dressed in a majestic white outfit with wavy white hair. Let’s take a look at how the slot works;
Game Mechanics
The gameplay features Scatter Pays, which requires you to link up at least eight matching symbols.
Also in play are Multiplier symbols, which can land on any spin and activate at the end of each spin to calculate your payout in the Total Win Bar above the game grid.
Symbols & Payouts
There are ten regular symbols in play, in five different colours, split into two categories;
Low Paying Symbols: Green, Blue, Purple, Yellow, and Red Gems – These pay from 0.2x up to 50x your bet if you match 19 or more.
High Paying Symbols: Pearls, Tea Cups, Mirror, Perfume, and the top symbol Tiaras – These pay from 1x your bet up to 400x your bet, depending on how many symbols you land.
Below, we show you the example payouts while playing on a $1 per spin stake;
Once a winning combination is triggered, those symbols are removed from the grid, and new symbols will fall into place, allowing for more wins. This continues until there are no more new wins on the reels or until you reach a maximum win.
Multiplier Symbols
There are three types of multipliers you can land while playing Cloud Princess;
- Normal Multiplier Symbols: Initial values: 2x, 3x, or 4x. Values increased +1 with every new cascade.
- Super Multiplier Symbols: Initial values: 5x, 10x, 15x or 20x. Values increased +2 with every new cascade.
- Epic Multiplier Symbols: Initial values: 5x, 10x, 50x, or 100x. Values double with every new cascade.
Betting Options
There are plenty of different ways you can play the Cloud Princess slot;
- Base Game Spins: Play from stakes of €/$0.10 up to €/$100 per spin.
- Autoplay: Choose from 10-1,000 rounds of automatic play.
- Game Speeds: Speed things up using the Turbo and Super Turbo modes.
- Bonushunt Featurespins: Each spin is five times more likely to trigger a bonus game (costs 3x your bet).
- Heavenly Featurespins: Each spin guarantees at least one win, and one Multiplier Symbol lands (costs 50x your bet).
- Bonus Buys: Unlock free spins bonuses – Cloud Surge (costing 100x your bet) or Divine Boost (costing 200x your bet).
Features And Bonuses
There are a couple of different free spins bonus modes you can unlock while playing Cloud Princess, let’s take a look at how they work;
Cloud Surge
Land 3 Scatters, and you will get 10 free spins packed with Multiplier Symbols.
During this bonus, you can re-trigger extra spins with additional FS symbols;
- 2 FS symbols: +2 free spins.
- 3 FS symbols: +4 free spins.
This bonus is a little underwhelming because the multiplier amounts don’t accumulate. So, scoring big wins will rely on matching up some good tumbles with large multipliers, much like the bonus round in games like Sweet Bonanza by Pragmatic Play.
Divine Boost
In our opinion, this is the only bonus worth getting while playing Cloud Princess. To unlock it, you must spend 200x your bet or land 4 Scatter (FS) symbols.
The difference with this super bonus compared to the regular one is that the Divine Multiplier is now progressive, allowing you to collect all multiplier values as part of a win and add to your total.
Much like when you play Gates, the Divine Multiplier remains inactive if there is a win but no multiplier on the grid. If multipliers are on the grid but no wins, this multiplier is not added to your Divine Multiplier value.
RTP, Volatility, And Payouts
The Cloud Princess slot has varying Return To Player (RTP) levels, with the highest paying version of the game being 96.24%, but with lower paying variations of 94.21%, 92.26%, and 88.29% available to casinos. So you must check the RTP of the game at the casino you gamble at before spinning to check it’s the one with the lowest house edge.
The game is rated as Medium Volatility, which is a nice switch up in comparison with the super high volatility of similar games such as Starlight Princess, where you will often get low returns and sometimes a super big one. Medium volatility will mean that you’ll often get fairly sizeable returns, and sometimes you’ll have a nice win, but in general these games will pay back more of your wagered funds steadily.
A warning though, this volatility rating is for the general base game play of the slot the various bonus buy options are rated as either Very High or High volatility.
You can win up to 10,000x on the Cloud Princess slot, and this max win is possible at any point of the game thanks to the huge payout potential of the multipliers. However you’re best chance of hitting a win as large as 10,000x is going to be with the Divine Boost bonus feature, thanks to the accumulative mulitplier.

Cloud Princess Slot Rating
Hacksaw Gaming has done an impressive job with Cloud Princess. It closely resembles Starlight Princess from Pragmatic Play but has lower volatility and additional betting options, like Featurespins.
One surprise is that landing 3 Scatters in the base bonus round doesn’t build a progressive multiplier. To trigger that, you’ll need the 4 Scatter “Divine Boost” bonus feature.
It’s rare for Hacksaw to use a Scatter Pays format, but with the success of games like Sweet Bonanza and Gates of Olympus, it’s clear why they’d want to dive into this popular style.
However, there are some drawbacks. Despite the game being rated as medium volatility with a 10,000x max win cap, many of the bonus buy and feature spins are much more volatile and can quickly deplete your balance if you’re not cautious.
Cloud Princess might not win over hardcore Hacksaw fans since it feels more like a Pragmatic Play game, but it certainly has its place. Give it a try with our demo and see what you think!
